Fresh Sod and a Full Outdoor Living Build in New Paltz

There's a moment on every big outdoor build when everything clicks. The patio is laid, the pergola is framed up, and then the sod goes down - and suddenly the whole space makes sense. That's exactly what happened here in New Paltz.

We handled the full package on this one. The paver patio runs the entire length of the back of the house, clean large-format stone laid tight and level. The pergola structure sits right over it - built from heavy pressure-treated lumber with solid post spacing and well-crafted beam work overhead. It gives the space definition without closing it off. You still get the views, the light, the open feel.

Then comes the sod. This is something we always talk about with clients - seeding takes time. You're waiting weeks or months to see results, and during that whole stretch the yard looks rough. Sod gives you an established lawn right away. It pulls the space together instantly, and it fills in around the hardscape and structure in a way that makes everything look intentional.

Getting sod down on a site like this takes prep. The Bobcat work, grading, soil work - that's what most people don't see. The finished lawn looks effortless, but there's real ground work that makes it hold and root properly. We take that part seriously because a lawn that fails a few weeks later isn't a finished product.

This is what full-scope outdoor living work looks like when it's done right. Pavers, structure, and a healthy lawn working together as one cohesive space. New Paltz homeowners with properties like this deserve a backyard that actually matches the rest of the home - and that's what we set out to deliver every time.
