Sometimes a yard just gets away from you. Overgrowth takes over, beds lose their shape, and the whole front of the house starts to look tired. That's exactly what we were working with here - an overgrown layout that needed a full reset before anything new could go in.

We started by clearing everything out and reworking the bed layout from scratch. New stone curbing went in along the beds to give them a defined edge and separate them cleanly from the lawn. That curbing does more than just look sharp - it keeps mulch in place, keeps grass from creeping in, and makes future maintenance a lot easier.

From there, we brought in fresh plantings and topped everything off with dark mulch. The contrast between the dark beds and the brick on the house really pops. We also framed out a small feature bed near a yard ornament with matching curbing, tying the whole property together. It's the kind of detail that makes a yard feel intentional rather than just functional.

The paver walkway running up to the front entry pulls everything together. Crisp bed lines on both sides, fresh plants with room to fill in, and a layout that actually makes sense for the space. Low-maintenance was a priority here, and the combination of good curbing and clean mulch beds goes a long way toward that goal.

What we ended up with is a front yard that looks polished without being overdone. Every element - the plantings, the curbing, the mulch - works together to boost the curb appeal of the whole property. It's a great example of what a well-planned bed redesign can do for a home.
